How to split a video on iPhone
The built-in Photos app can trim a video and save the trimmed part as a new clip — but it can't cut one video into several parts in one go. You'd repeat the trim for every part, setting each cut by eye.

Can the iPhone Photos app split a video into parts?
Not in one go. Photos can only trim a video, but after trimming you can choose Save Video as New Clip — repeat that for every part. For exact or many parts, a splitter app is faster.
How do I split a video in half on iPhone?
Open the app, choose split by number of parts, and enter 2. You get two halves of identical duration, cut at the exact midpoint.
Is it free?
